The Cold Facts – August 2024

It’s been a year of growth and change so far in 2024 for Portabull Cold Storage. Even as we’ve strengthened our core business and continued to develop long-lasting partnerships with our existing clients, we have also been fortunate to meet and do business with new customers from all over the United States. With a larger, more diverse fleet capable of serving more kinds of businesses with ever more flexible solutions, we have also innovated and expanded upon the notion of what cold storage can be. In short, a lot has happened that helps us deliver greater value to a growing number of customers within an expanding list of industries.

To grow our fleet and expand our capabilities within the Northeastern US, Portabull has acquired Kelly Refrigerator’s fleet of cold storage rental units, as well as an operations hub in Suffield, CT. Thanks to these acquisitions, we are now in a much stronger position to provide our trademark customer service to clients all across New England and the Northeast. Portabull containers

10′ containers and 53′ hybrid trailers join the Portabull fleet

As part of our never-ending effort to provide the most flexible cold storage solutions on the market, 2024 saw Portabull introduce the smallest and largest units of our fleet: 10′ electric containers and 53′ hybrid-powered trailers. Designed to fit anywhere (10′) or to provide ultimate capacity (53′), and built using the same advanced technology as the rest of our fleet, these new units provide our customers with even more options for the ideal on-site cold storage solution.

Portabull cool-down rooms

Cool-down rooms designed for people, an industry-first

Portabull exists because we weren’t satisfied with the cold storage industry as it used to be. We addressed the problems of cost, inefficiency, and unreliability with our electric- and hybrid-powered cold storage units. But we know that cold storage can be and do more. That’s why we designed and built the industry’s first cool-down rooms, designed just for helping people get relief from dangerously high temperatures.

The Portabull fleet keeps expanding, not only in quantity but in diversity. To make it easier than ever for our customers to get to know the Portabull units, and to help the process of custom-designing a tailored cold storage solution for your business, we have introduced new unit pages and spec sheets this year. Now, everything you need to know about our 10′, 20′, and 40′ containers, as well as our 53′ hybrid trailers, is right at your fingertips.

As part of our expertise, we inaugurated a blog in 2024, hoping to share worthwhile insights into what cold storage is and what can it do for businesses like yours. We will continue to grow this blog with content built upon years of experience and industry-leading service.
